Launch day is the start, not the finish. The first few months decide whether your app gains momentum. Use this checklist to stay focused on what matters.
Seed the supply side first
Two-sided apps face a cold-start problem: customers will not order if there are no providers, and providers will not join without customers. Onboard an initial pool of drivers, restaurants, hosts, or taskers before you market to customers.
Launch in one area
Focus on one city, neighbourhood, or category until the marketplace works well there. Density beats reach in the early days.
Track the numbers that matter
- Sign-ups and activation on both sides
- Completed transactions per day
- Repeat usage and retention
- Response and delivery times
- Support requests and their causes
Listen to early users
Ratings, reviews, and support tickets are your best product roadmap. Fix the friction points that come up again and again before adding new features.
Use incentives carefully
Referral credits, first-order discounts, and early provider bonuses can kick-start growth. Set clear limits so they do not become permanent costs.
Keep the platform healthy
- Apply security updates and OS compatibility fixes promptly.
- Monitor uptime, performance, and payment success rates.
- Plan regular releases with improvements users asked for.
